Geothermal Ground Collectors

In the past, ground collector systems have been designed to be either horizontal or vertical, depending on the geology and land available.

Both methods are messy and entail remedial works to reinstate the landscape after installation.

Earth NRG has taken a far more scientific approach to harvesting the energy required by opting for a directional drilling solution. Directional drilling utilises slanted boreholes from a central chamber radiating out in all directions and at different angles.

There are several advantages of employing a directional drilling approach to that of conventional borehole or horizontal trenches:

The rig is located in one single location
The rig can be used in confined areas
All drilling is concentrated in one chamber
Waste is easily managed
Central manifold system
Ability to fully exploit the surrounding geology
